Dahab, Egypt

This picture shows the Sinai, enclosed by the Gulf of Suez on the west, the Gulf of Aqaba on the east and the Mediterranean on the north.

I flew to Sharm-El-Sheikh with AMC airlines, an egyptian charter. I had never heard of 'em and if it weren't for the fact that Lotus Air wasn't allowed to land on Schiphol Airport I probably still wouldn't know about their existence.
The flights were sort of OK. I won't complain about the meals. Mainly because I'm not in a complaining mood.

To avoid the mass tourism of Sharm I took a taxi to Dahab, some 100 km from the airport. This set me back € 25, even after bargaining, but the alternative, to take a taxi to Sharm and a bus from there didn't really appeal to me.
Here's a view of Dahab from above. On the other shore you see the coastline of Saudi Arabia.
